ABOUT THE GAME
The Evil Within 2 continues the story of Sebastian Castellanos, a broken detective who must enter the nightmarish world of STEM to rescue his daughter Lily. Three years after the events of the first game, Sebastian learns that his daughter, presumed dead, might still be alive inside the shared consciousness of Mobius's new STEM system. The game takes place in the virtual town of Union, a perfect suburban community that has been corrupted into a horrific landscape filled with disturbing creatures and insane residents.
Unlike the more linear first game, The Evil Within 2 offers semi-open environments that allow for exploration and multiple approaches to situations. Players can upgrade Sebastian's abilities through a skill tree system, craft items from scavenged materials, and choose between stealth or direct confrontation. The game features a variety of terrifying enemies including the returning Haunted and new threats like the Obscura, a monstrous photographer that stalks Sebastian through certain areas of the game.
